The P10-43HD is designed as a portable, medium volume model which processes up to 120 cubic yards of wood waste per hour. It is a multiple product grinder for breaking down different woody materials such as pallets, brush, demolition debris, bark and any yard waste. |

The magnetic pulley assembly removes ferrous metal from the ground material and discharges it down the slide producing a salable product.
The tub is tilted hydraulically for changing screens or for servicing. A safety brace is stored under the tub, it is lowered and locked into place when the tub is in the raised position. Note the heavy cross bracing on the underside of the tub.
A heavy-duty 81XHHR chain withstands sudden load changes. The tub rests on seven tub rollers. Each roller is supported by two pillowblock ball bearings which are standard over-the-counter items. Four adjustable tub guides with smooth rollers make centering the tub easy.
The tub is 10 foot across the top opening. The inside diameter is 90 inches and it is 55 inches deep. The tub wall is 3/16-inch thick steel. The fins are braced for strength, they help move material to the center of the cylinder as the tub rotates.
The grinding screens are made in two sections to facilitate ease of installation. Product sizing hole screens are available in sizes from 1/2 to 6" and in thicknesses of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 1". Demolition screens, which are not shown, are made of 5/16" thick sheet steel with 7/8" solid bar steel on the grinding surface and frame.
The tub is driven by a Sundstrand planetary gear with a ration of 22:1. The drive is smooth and steady. Jerking starts are eliminated.
The dial controlled electronic sensor keeps the unit from overloading by slowing down the tub rotation when the cylinder encounters tough or dense material.

Heavy steel guards have been installed for safety purposes and to protect the machinery. The engine, control panel and gauges are enclosed by guards and a hood. A hinged panel with key lock provides access for starting engine
The P10-43HD cylinder is 43" long with a 4-7/8" diameter shaft. Thirty-four 1" thick hammers are spaced between every other cylinder plate in four rows around the cylinder. The cylinder is factory balanced and can be balanced on-site by following the owner's manual. Bearings on the cylinder shaft are heavy-duty SFK ball bearings. The cylinder is drive by 16 V-belts linked to the engine by the jackshaft. The belts help reduce vibration and load shock from the cylinder to the engine.
Ground material passes through the screens and is deposited on the moving dragbox conveyor belt which deposits it on the elevator belt. In turn, it is moved up the elevator and deposited to the rear of the grinder.
Hydraulic folding elevator can be folded/unfolded or lowered from the same control area at the base of the elevator. Other options are available, please contact the factory for more information.
